Color fastness to wash

Fastness to wash test is designed to evaluate the colorfastness properties of textiles that are intended to be laundered frequently. The fabric color loss, bleeding, and surface changes resulting from the detergent and abrasion are simulated by a 45 minutes Gyrowash. Each fabric specimen along width a multifiber swatch is placed in a stainless steel levr lock canisters containing a specified number of steel balls to provide friction and abrasion. After processing, each specimen is evaluated for color staining and color change against Grey Scale for Color Change and Staining and other related surface changes.
