Labtex M6T is used in dimensional & appearance change after washing test which is designed to determine the dimensional stability (shrinkage or growth) in woven and knit fabrics when subjected to repeated home laundering and/or commercial dry-cleaning procedures. The test specimens are measured and/or marked, then washed and dried according to the provided care instructions. After testing, each specimen is reconditioned, remeasured and percent shrinkage or growth in length and width is calculated and reported. The purpose of this test is to confirm when the fabric/garment is laundered and/or dry-cleaned by instructions of the label, it will perform to the consumers satisfaction,… it will not shrink or stretch out of shape, which would affect the comfort and appearance of the garment.
